Bad Weather Days at Lake Tahoe!!

We went to Lake Tahoe expecting sunny  slushy spring riding, but what we got was wind, snow and arctic temperatures down to 17°F! So we had to change our plans, from riding in shirts and hoddies back to warm jackets and powder guns.

BACK TO TAHOE

On Tuesday Fuchsi, Heimi and Böhmi took off at 8.30 from Vienna via Frankfurt and Calgary to San Francisco. Unfortunately their flight  from Calgary to San Francisco got canceled so they got diverted to Vancouver and had to stay their over night.

For the last week Marc flew over to sunny California to ride the Fiesta de la Pipe Contest and the Superpark 13 session at Mammoth Mountain.

He even impressed the american snowboard media at Superpark with his Ninja Style Bones and technical Jump Style on the way too big obstacles!

Hapy day peace

3rd week at lake tahoe

This is our third week at the wonderful Lake Tahoe. On sunday we had to say good bye to two of our crew members. Rob and Böhmi returned to Austria, so we spent another day at San Francisco. There we checked out China Town and tried some “typical” chines sushi! 🙂 Jasmin and Rudi are now fully settled down and adapted to the California time zone. The last few days we were riding at Sierra & Northstar and did some filming at a grungy junk yard. At Sierra Rudi messed up his board on a box, where a screw pointed out.

New arrivals at Lake Tahoe

After our crazy weekend in Mammoth Mountain, we took a break from snowboarding an visit San Francisco. We did some sightseeing down at the the Fisherman´s WHARF, from where you can see the famous Golden Gate Bridge and the notorious Alcatraz. The whole Bay area is really crowed but nice to walk through and eat some of the fresh sprimp sandwiches or half lobsters.

Crazy weekend in Mammoth

The last three days had been kind of wicked. Like we planned we headed down to Mammoth Mountain for riding and having a good time there. Bernd and matthias organized the american roxy chicken jam at Mammoth this weekend. They hooked us up with free lift tickets for the weekend and arranged free party entries and free drinks. Anyways friday we´ve been checking out the hole resort. It´s huge. Like in every common resort in the USA they have two huge parks. On Friday we have been riding  the “Southpark”. We checked in in the motel6 and started our party weekend with the captain.. But we never made it in town…

Bamboos at Northstar

At the 4th and 5th day of our trip to the USA we checked out an other resort located at the Lake Tahoe, called North Star. There is one of the top 10 parks of North America and it is pretty sick!!
